This year we decided as a family that instead of buying shop bought gifts, instead we would create memories by getting together over the festive season and give hand made gifts. As the kids love a bit of Christmas crafting we decided to incorporate a little sparkle into our gift making and came up with […]
Kids Christmas Card Crafting Ever since our kids were old enough to hold a glitter shaker, we have made our own Christmas cards for friends and family. Not only is it a great Christmas craft idea but I also think that it’s much more personal than generic shop bought ones and they make a great […]
Winter Solstice is the celestial event marking the shortest day and longest night of the year, is not just a cosmic occurrence but a beautiful opportunity to connect with nature, reflect, and celebrate the stillness of the season. With such busy lives and the madness of the season, it’s easy to forget that by tradition, […]
I don’t know about you but I have never been a fan of traditional Christmas wreaths but the kids have seen quite a few different varieties in the shops and garden centres recently so we decided to have a go at making one of our own. As always Pintrest is my best friend when it […]
Today me and the kids did a little Christmas crafting from one of our latest Temu hauls as part of our learning today….. One question I get asked quite a lot as a home educating Mum is what do I find to do all day with the kids. It never ceases to amaze me that […]
The kids and myself have finally got round to trying a brand new type of crafting, Epoxy Resin Jewellery Making!
Take a look at how we got on!
Today we have been getting our spook on by trying an activity that is really easy and combines my 2 children’s favourite things, craft and science!

We are probably a little late to the party on this one, but we have just discovered loom bands!
I got a cheap starter kit for the kids last week and since then our 8 year old daughter has spent literally hours weaving and crafting her own little designs.
As a home educating Mum, I am always on the lookout for quick and easy craft kits that are fun and not too costly.
Many people are under the most bizarre impression that because we home educate, by default, we are organised but in our family nothing could be further from the truth!
Our weeks can vary a lot and whilst we may have time to while away one week, the following can see us trying to compact everything in.
For this reason I like to have things to hand that require little (or if I can manage it) no planning and the kids can choose an activity as and when the craft bug strikes.
It was during my quest for said activities that I came across the Kreative Kids packs, They are literally a one stop shop for Mums like myself!
