ABCya Fun Educational Online Learning Resource For Kids

As my children get older, I find that they are leaning more towards learning based apps and online resources rather than traditional work books and work sheets.

With so many to choose from, its difficult to know which ones to try, especially when the majority of them are subscription based only or only offer a relativly short free trial.

I came across ABCya when looking for something online that would suit my children of different ages and cover a range of activities.

If you are like me and have never come across them before, ABCya provides over 300 fun and educational games for primary to junior years.

Their activities are designed by parents and educators, who design with the concept in mind that hat children learn better if they are having fun!

The Games are categorised by level and subject, and cover topics such as multiplication, parts of speech, typing, pattern recognition, and more.

The various challenges are designed to:

  • Engage children in educational games and activities to facilitate and review learning online
  • All educational games are modelled on lessons and enhanced to provide an interactive way for children to learn.
  • Promote critical thinking skills

There are even games that are just plain fun to play!

You are able to play on desktop or via their app depending on the package that you choose.

There is a free membership available which enables you to play all games on desktop and up to 6 games each week on the app.

You can save up to 3 favourite games and access the site on 1 device.

The Premium Family Plan enables you to play on desktop or app whilst giving you access to hundreds of ABCya worksheets, activity pages.

You can also save unlimited favourite games and can set time limits for users and control game categories that they are able to choose from, you can also play on up to 5 devices.

So far, the free plan has been great for us but if the kids continue to use it regularly then we will probably invest in the family subscription so that the kids can access it on their own devices and I can have mine back!
